  1. StudyLoop’s course workspace, with forms to create or join a course and a library listing one course.

    StudyLoop

    A study assistant scoped to one course. You upload the lecture PDFs, slides and notes, then ask questions. Answers come only from that material and cite the page they came from, and it refuses when the material doesn’t cover the question.

    • Spring Boot backend with JWT auth, role checks on every endpoint and Flyway-managed migrations.
    • Hybrid retrieval with pgvector HNSW and PostgreSQL full-text search, fused and then reranked by a cross-encoder.
    • A confidence gate refuses questions the material can’t answer. Answers stream over SSE with page-level citations.

    HexaCraft

    A voxel sandbox written from scratch in C++17 and OpenGL 3.3, in which every block is a hexagonal prism instead of a cube.

    • Hex-prism voxel engine with hand-written GLSL shaders. No game engine, only GLFW, GLAD, GLM and stb_image.
    • Phong and Gouraud shading, switchable at runtime, with nearest-N dynamic point lights and a deferred water pass.
    • Procedural terrain across five biomes, block placement, crafting, and mobs driven by state machines.

    A social site for competitive programmers. Users write and discuss articles, or challenge each other to one-on-one battles on Codeforces problems.

    • One-on-one battles. Invite a user to a Codeforces problem, accept from the notification menu, submit, and see the result.
    • Codeforces API integration for picking problems, tracking match state and sending notifications.
    • Articles with tags, full-text search, likes and threaded comments. Profiles with follows.

From contests to backends

I’m a backend engineer from Sylhet, Bangladesh. I finished a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at KUET in June 2026. I learned to program through contests: 292 rated rounds on Codeforces, team contests at university, and a year leading the university’s programming club. Most of my time now goes into larger systems, mainly StudyLoop.

Timeline

  1. 2018First rated Codeforces contest on 24 February, then 18 more that year.
  2. 2020Finished HSC at Notre Dame College, Dhaka.
  3. 2022Started CSE at KUET. 60 rated contests that year, and a first inter-university contest.
  4. 2024Reached Expert on Codeforces (1735). Built CodeChamp, and CGum with two teammates.
  5. 2025Competed onsite at the ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional. Became president of SGIPC.
  6. 2026Graduated from KUET in June. Built HexaCraft and StudyLoop.
